    • Introduction and Goal Setting
      • Assessment of each participant’s current status and available licenses
      • Participants identify one use case to work on throughout the two days

      • Exercise: Document your own use case on a card, specifying the goal, input materials, and desired outcome.
    • Foundations of Language Models
      • Understanding tokens and context windows: the volume of text a model processes simultaneously
      • Explaining why identical queries can yield different responses
      • Mitigating model hallucinations (invented details) through effective prompting
      • Comparison of Haiku, Sonnet, and Opus models based on quality, speed, and usage limits
      • Determining when Claude, Copilot, or ChatGPT is the superior choice
      • Exercise: Execute the same task with two different models and compare results in terms of quality and speed.
    • Effective Instructions and Context Management
      • Core components of a robust prompt: role, task, context, examples, format, and constraints
      • Enabling Claude to ask clarifying questions before commencing a task
      • Summarizing and comparing extensive documents and extracting specific supporting passages
      • Incorporating review steps directly into the instruction set
      • Exercise: Refine a weak prompt from your daily work over three iterations and compare the versions side by side.
    • Projects as Shared Memory
      • Logical separation of project instructions and knowledge files
      • Centralizing house style, product knowledge, and templates
      • Distinguishing between team and private areas, and isolating sensitive content
      • Monitoring, correcting, and disabling memory features when necessary
      • Exercise: Create a project for your use case, including specific instructions and three knowledge files.
    • Artifacts, Files, and Analytical Tools
      • Generating reports, tables, charts, and presentation drafts as artifacts
      • Querying and comparing Excel, PDF, and Word documents
      • Using analysis tools to calculate figures and performing spot-checks
      • Exporting, publishing, and sharing artifacts within the team
      • Exercise: Build an analysis with a chart and brief commentary from an anonymized Excel dataset.
    • Outcome: Each participant will have a configured project for their use case, two improved templates, and an initial artifact built from real materials.
  • Day 2: Extending Claude with skills, connectors, Cowork, and routines
    • Overview of the Ecosystem
      • Execution environments: chat interface, desktop app, Claude in Chrome, Cowork, and Claude Code
      • Definitions of skills, connectors, MCP, and routines
      • Simplified explanation of agents: workflows combining AI and tools
      • Live demonstration: from concept to finished skill
      • Exercise: Map your use case to the appropriate layer and justify your selection.
    • Developing the First Custom Skill
      • Structuring skills: description, applicability conditions, workflow, examples, and templates
      • Collaborative writing and refinement of skills with Claude
      • Testing with three real-world scenarios
      • Sharing and maintaining skills within the team
      • Exercise: Each participant will build a skill for their use case, such as generating replies in house style or creating review reports.
    • Connectors and Integrated Services

      • Maintaining deliberately restricted permissions
      • Identifying hidden instructions in emails and documents (prompt injection risks)
      • Exercise: Connect a service and execute a task spanning mailbox and calendar, such as preparing for the next appointment.
    • Claude Cowork and Routines
      • Task delegation versus conversational interaction, with access to released folders
      • Monitoring plans, tracking progress, and reviewing interim results
      • Scheduling tasks, such as daily morning overviews or weekly reports
      • Implementing approval gates before actions like sending or deleting content
      • Exercise: Configure a routine for a daily overview and assess the first run collectively.
    • Team Governance and the Next 30 Days
      • Guidelines on permissible data uploads and restrictions
      • Maintaining shared skills and projects, and assigning responsibilities
      • Providing a model matrix and reference sheet as a handout
      • Exercise: Draft a personal 30-day plan outlining three specific action steps.
    • Outcome: Each participant will leave the course with a functional skill, a connected connector, a configured routine, and a plan for the next 30 days.
