Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services firm aimed to transition from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution within a core product to an Open Source alternative (Superset) to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg held several project meetings with the client to fully grasp the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. We then developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and monitor the project’s progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs for each report type. Recommendations were made to modify the data stores to maximize Superset’s capabilities and ensure optimal performance, with guidance provided to the team implementing these changes. After optimizing the data store and pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying various reports based on established requirements and new business or customer requests. To meet specific data presentation needs, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data visualization, including features like drill-downs.
Outcome Consultants have been creating new dashboards while ensuring sufficient knowledge transfer to the customer organization, empowering them to maintain these dashboards and reports independently.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well-received by both the client’s business team and their end-users. Highlighting its success, the scope has been expanded to include additional products and client bases.
