SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager with POPM Certification Training Course
Develop the skills needed to lead value delivery in a Lean Enterprise — and learn the actions, tools, and mechanisms used to manage backlogs and programs — by becoming a SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM). During this two-day course, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of the Agile Release Train (ART), how it delivers value, and how to effectively perform their role.
They will also learn how to apply Lean thinking to create Epics, break them down into Features and Stories, plan and execute Iterations, and plan Program Increments. By the end, participants will understand the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps culture, learn how to effectively integrate in their roles as Product Owner and Product Manager, and discover what is needed to continuously improve the ART.
To fulfill the role of SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager, participants should be able to:
- Apply SAFe in a Lean Enterprise
- Connect Lean-Agile principles and values with PO/PM roles
- Collaborate with Lean Portfolio Management
- Discover continuous value through Program Increment planning
- Execute the Program Increment and deliver continuous value
- Describe the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager
- Create a plan of action for their role
Course registration includes:

- Preparation and eligibility to take the SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) exam
- One-year membership in the SAFe Community platform

Participants must attend both days of the course to qualify for the exam.

Requirements
All are welcome to the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are strongly recommended for those intending to take the SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification exam :
- Attendance at the Leading SAFe® course
- Experience working in a SAFe environment
- Experience with Lean, Agile, or other relevant certifications
